About Prince Publications Community Magazines
Charting the Growth of Prince Publications
Since 2009, Gary & Sally Prince have been dedicated to supporting local businesses in growing their customer base.
Gary had a career in the Army, as a golf professional, and finally as the manager of a local golf club. Sally career was in Estate Agency and latterly New Homes sales.
They recognized the need for a community-focused publication that could serve both residents and businesses locally.
Starting with the Barton Bugle, their vision quickly expanded to include four additional magazines: Highcliffe Herald East, Highcliffe Herald West, New Milton Mail, and the Mercury.
Most recently they have added the Lymington Directory and Village Voice to the portfolio. These monthly publications have become a staple in the community, valued by thousands of locals who eagerly anticipate each issue.
The magazines are more than just pages; they are a vibrant mix of community stories, event guides, fascinating local history articles, and quality editorials.
Each issue features a diverse range of advertisements, providing a powerful platform for local tradespeople and businesses to connect with their target audience.
Gary, a proud local resident, enjoys spending his free time with his wife Sally and their Bernese Mountain dog, Bertie.
When he’s not busy with the magazines, you’ll find him on the golf course or riding his bike around the New Forest. Sally is much in demand for her fine Soprano voice in local choirs and solo projects.
Prince Publications’ community magazines are a testament to Gary and Sally’s commitment to fostering local connections and supporting the growth of businesses through high-quality, engaging content.

Launched in 2009, the Barton Bugle was the very first magazine and was quickly followed in 2010 by the New Milton Mail.
In 2012, the Highcliffe Herald was added to the collection, followed in 2017 by the New Milton Mercury to cover the North of New Milton.
Then in 2020, to ensure the whole of the Highcliffe area was covered, the Herald was greatly expanded and split into two magazines – West and East.
Finally, in 2025, the Lymington Directory & Village Voice were added to the group. The most recent additions cover the residential areas in and around Lymington and Milford-on-Sea. These magazines were acquired from Gary and Sally’s friend Jacqui and have been serving their respective areas since 2004. Well-established and highly thought of by the local residents, these magazines round off the Prince Publications portfolio, which now covers from Mudeford in the West on an unbroken stretch of the South coast to Lymington in the East.
